D.I.Y Colour Pop Salad Servers

Adding a pop of colour to wooden salad servers is a fast, fun and easy DIY project. Tie a bow around them and you’ve got the perfect personalised gift for Christmas or birthdays. Alternatively, they make a great finishing touch to your Christmas. These salad servers are food safe as the painted handles don’t come into contact with food.

What you need:

• A drop sheet to cover surfaces
• Wooden salad servers
• Primer (we used Dulux 1 Step Prep)
• Painter's tape
• Sample pot brush
• Sample pot in chosen colour (we used Dulux Ballet Shoes)
• Plastic bucket or pot to stand up salad servers to dry

The Process:

1. Lay your drop sheet over your surface
2. Use painter's tape to mark out the area to paint

3. Apply one coat of your primer and allow to dry

4. Apply two coats of top coat paint allowing to dry in-between in layer

5. Remove tape

6. Add a ribbon and you’re done!
