Depth-laden blues, paprika and tonal shades reflecting natural, raw materials are predicted to be the hottest colours over the next year according to the 2012 Dulux Colour Forecast. According to Dulux Colour Forecaster, Andrea Lucena-Orr, distilling the myriad of trends and influences to create the definitive Dulux Colour Forecast for 2012, has never been more challenging.

“We live in an era replete with information. Thanks to globalisation and digitisation trends are taking off much faster than ever before,” she said. “Using local and global research, we’ve analysed key influences such as the importance of 3D virtual worlds illustrated stunningly in the ‘Immerse’ palette to the bold and flashy Lady Ga Ga inspired ‘Carnivale’ to create six all-new colour palettes that capture the key colour trends.

Collaboration between some of Australia’s leading colour trend forecasters, stylists, design bloggers and landscapers has also created a series of inspiring images that showcase some of the key colours predicted as hot for 2012.
