Project Summary

There was much uproar from everyone we told that we were going to paint over the dark stained timber in the house with white painted trims (however, no one was concerned about eliminateing the pink walls!) and three years later we stick by our decision, the light trims have brightened the whole interior.

The only problem was the beige carpet we chose has a base note of green in it whereas the beige of 'Dulux Buff It' is steeped in pink. This clash means that the room is not as harmonious as it could be, however the carpet will come up when the kids are a bit older anyway!

Again we feel beige was too safe and when we pull our finger out we'll redo the walls (under the picture rails) in the same Dulux Carrot Flower green as is in the bedroom.

The Dulux Wash & Wear wall paint has come under much fire from the toddler's crayons, texters and general rough-housing but has held up very well. It's true, it is stain repelling and completely scrubbable.
