Predictably, the white and neutral palette dominated paint colour choices again in 2010, with Dulux Hog Bristle, Antique White USA and Vivid White occupying the top three spots. This trend is to be expected, with whites and neutrals essential to most painting projects and colours reserved for more decorative elements of the home.

“The demand for whites has increased over the years with people desiring more options when it comes to choosing the perfect white or neutral for their home. Deep grey hues overwhelmingly dominated this year’s list of top colours with six of the top ten falling into this category, Dulux Namadji and Berger Octavious Oak were two of the favourites. Interestingly, Dulux Red Box, a bold and vibrant red, topped the list showing Australian’s are open to being adventurous with colour.
