How To Makeover A Kids Cubby House

Customise your kid’s cubby to reflect their personality or match your home’s aesthetic. The choices are endless and we’re here to show you just how easy it is to transform your kid’s cubby house into a space even you want to escape to.

Step 1:

Lay out all the pieces of the cubby house on the canvas drop sheets.

Step 2:

Apply painter’s tape to the windows and plastic parts that you don’t want to paint.

Step 3:

Apply Dulux 1Step Prep Primer to the cubby house pieces. Allow to dry.

If using a spray gun, follow the instructions in the spray gun manual to ensure an even flow of paint.

Step 4:

Apply 2 coats of paint to your floor and roof pieces. Allow to dry between each coat.

Step 5:

Apply 2 coats of paint to the walls of the cubby house. Allow to dry between each coat.

Step 6:

Using the brush and mini roller, apply 2 coats of paint to the smaller features and trim, allowing to dry between each coat.

Step 7:

Apply 2 coats of paint to the cubby house door. Allow to dry between coats.

Step 8:

Assemble the cubby house.

Step 9:

Remove tape and touch up paint where needed with a brush.
